VideoWall Monitors A VideoWall
comprised of monitors provides more programming
options per equal area of space, lower power
consumption, faster setup, and a smaller
"footprint" than a VideoWall comprised
of projection cubes.
Monitors
for use in VideoWalls are 28" diagonal glass
monitors designed specifically for this
application. There are no tuners or speakers in a
VideoWall monitor, making it little more than a
picture tube in a lightweight steel housing. The
monitor housing chassis is as narrow as possible,
so when monitors are stacked the
"mullion," or dark space between the
lighted picture tubes, is minimized.
Rent Com's VideoWall monitors
feature the smallest mullion of any competitive
productabout two inches in width. This mullion
provides an ideal VideoWall grid for images displayed
across several monitors and images composited from
separate video sources

Projection Cubes
Projection
Cubes used in VideoWalls are 41" diagonal,
flat, high-gain screens, mounted on the front of
a thin metal rear projection housing that
contains a three-gun video projector. When these
cubes are stacked, the mullion, or dark line
separating the images, can be as narrow as
3/16," creating what is known as "The
Seamless Wall." Due to the bright, large
individual screens and narrow mullion between
images, CubeWalls are ideal for large image
magnification and high ambient light areas. The
average projection cube is about 60" deep.
When staged, they require an additional three
feet of clear space behind them for technicians'
access. The overall space requirement is eight
feet.

Toshiba Projection Cubes
have the smallest mullions of all, and they
measure only 44" deep. They are capable of
displaying video, scan-doubled video and VGA
computer graphics at 640 x 480 resolution. When
used with the Toshiba TMP100 processor, this
system offers the utmost in image quality and
system flexibility.
