Boy Scouts of America National Order of the Arrow Convention

Rent Com helped the Boy Scouts of America stage their National Order of the Arrow Convention by providing a complete video production and projection system.

Six thousand Boy Scouts enjoyed brilliant images from a stack of two DPI Power 5DV projectors on a 22 ½‘ x 30' screen at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames Iowa. This picture shows the stage set below with an actor sitting on the back of an easy chair. The video image is clearly brighter than the 2 Xenon slide images on either side, even though the screen is more than twice the size of the vertically hung 15x20 footers!

Here we see a "Louisiana" graveyard scene. The actors in front are watching a Sony Watchman VCR while the big screen behind them displays the same images to the audience.

Note how well the video image in the center stands up to stage lighting, even pyro!

Additional equipment supplied included four Sony DXC-D30 digital color cameras with Triax CCU's and a component switching system. Four additional Sony DSR200 camcorders captured all the live action for immediate editing on DVCAM edit systems and same day projection as shown.
